Dear parents, as a result of school being alerted to parental concerns over when a bubble must be closed, we felt it important to make you fully aware of Leeds City Council’s (LCC) position on this.

As you know, if a child tests positive - all other children within that bubble are classed as a close contact and therefore must self-isolate.

Following joint PHE and LCC guidance, we have had to close a bubble because if a child who is symptomatic refuses to be tested, this MUST be treated as a positive case.  We apologise for the inconvenience and worry this has caused and may cause, but this is to ensure we keep the children as safe as possible.
