Year 1 (Class 3 and Class 4) - R.E - Celebration Day!
Class 3 and 4 had an amazing time for their Celebration Day! We dressed in clothes that are special to us and talked about the different events that we celebrate.
We then learnt all about Diwali and made our own diya lamps. We also had lots of fun learning some Indian dances!
Year 2 (Class 6) - R.E - The Story of Ganesha and Kubera
In Religious Education class 6 were looking at The Story of Ganesha and Kubera from Hinduism.
The children had to re-enact the story showing their understanding that the food given with love was more important than material wealth.
They did an amazing job and I feel we have some real actors…
Year 4 (Class 10 ) - R.E - The Bible
In RE, Class 10 have been thinking about why the Bible is important to Christians.
We explored different versions of the Bible, before working in groups to order statements as to why it's important.
Year 4 (Class 9) - R.E - The Bible
Class 9 have been discussing why the Bible is important to Christians.
We ranked different reasons in groups and picked our ‘Top 5’ reasons.
We then used oracy skills to feed it back to the class.
Year 6 (Class 16) - R.E - World Religion Day
Class 16 celebrating and sharing our religions on World Religion Day.

Class 9 have been learning all about Diwali and the story of Rama and Sita.

We have also been looking at the meaning of light for Diwali and how lanterns and fireworks are used in the celebrations.
