Attendance is a priority in school and will continue to be so. If your child is absent for any reason, it is vital that you contact school: phone, email, write or speak to a member of staff. If we have concerns about a child's attendance, we will contact their parent/carer. If absences fall into a regular pattern, we will be seeking the advice of the school's Attendance Improvement Officer (AIO). We cannot raise standards if your child is absent, either through your child missing odd days or being late and not participating in whole class introductions and explanations.
Attendance Quick Guide
Holidays / Extended Leave
- Holidays in term time will not be authorised. Only absences under very special circumstances will be authorised.
- If you wish to take a family holiday or extended leave in term time or you need to take your child out of school for any reason you must complete a form, which you can collect from the office. If you are planning a holiday or travelling out of the country you must also provide proof of travel and booking.
- If you take your child out of school we will follow the Leeds City Council guidelines.
Religious Observations
Pupils are permitted to take a day’s authorised absence for religious observance at Eid-ul-Fitr and up to another 2 days at Eid-ul-Adha, a total of up to three days per year.

Summer 2025 - Cinema Trip
Year 6 children who had fantastic attendance were treated to a visit to the cinema, they enjoyed the snacks as much as the film. Well done to you all.

Well done to the children in years 3 & 4 who had great attendance all year. Their award this year was a disco, they had a fantastic time.
Summer 2025 - Lightwater Valley Trip
Well done to the children in year 5 who had fantastic attendance all year. They went to Lightwater Valley for their end of year award. They had a great time.
Summer 2025 Attendance Winners
A great big well done to our summer attendance winners. We awarded prizes for those who had excellent attendance in the summer term and the most improved.
We also had our usual raffles for those in every Friday of the half term, for those in over 96% during the half term and thoses who came to school every day in the last week.

These are the children who won the end of term raffles. These include the raffles for children who are in school every Friday, of the term, those who have over 96%(our minimum expectation) all term and for being in all week in the last week of term. Anyone can be in the draw for this half term as we start again, it is a fresh start for everyone, you can do it!

Well Done!
Spring 2024
A big well done to all the children who won a prize in our attendance raffles. These were for being in school every Friday, being in school the last week of term and for having over our 96% target for the half term. All children get a chance as we start again each half term so nobody is excluded because of their previous attendance.
We also award every child with great attendance for the half term a postcard and 100 Trackit points and for those with great attendance for the term we award a certificate and prize.
Well done to all those children.

Well Done Haki and Sonny!
They won one of the prizes from the 100% a week drawer. Every week when you are in every day your name goes in the drawer. At the end of each half term we pull two children from each phase.
They win a prize for themselves and a £10 voucher.
