School meals for ALL children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are COMPLETELY FREE! This will provide a saving to families of over £450 per year for each child.

In addition the school currently subsidises the cost of paid school meals, keeping the cost at a reasonable £14.50 per week.

Children eat their lunches in the dining corridor, they eat on a rota basis and sit with their classmates.  Mrs Wainwright and Miss Lawson manage the dining corridor with the support of dinner staff.  The rest of the Senior Leadership Team are on duty outside over lunchtime.

We encourage all children to have a school meal.  It provides a warm, nutritious meal for them.  We do allow children to bring a packed lunch if they do not want the school meal provided.  We do not allow chocolate, sweets or fizzy drinks and expect them to follow food standards.

Quick Guide

School meals for your child must be paid for on a Monday for that week. All payments are now done using ParentPay. Please contact us for help if you do not have a ParentPay account setup.

Please note your child must have their meal choice (school dinner or packed lunch) for a full week and changes cannot be made on a daily basis. 

Halal – we now offer a Halal option where appropriate.  This must be booked and children must have the Halal option on the day it is served.  This is because it is ordered specially.  If you are interested in your child having Halal please ask at the office about arranging this.

Special Diets - If your child requires a special diet because of a medical condition or allergy please see Mrs Busby in the office who will be able to discuss this with you, inform you of what information is needed and complete the order.


Free Bagels

We are delighted to offer a FREE bagels in school for all of our children.

Bagels are provided for any child who would like one, as they enter school each morning.  

The National School Breakfast Programme is funded by the Department for Education and run by Family Action to support schools in England to provide children with a healthy breakfast at the start of the school day.

Family Action is committed to supporting child development, and believe a healthy school breakfast, without barrier or stigma, can set up children to succeed and give them the very best chance to learn.

In a normal school year, schools are open just over half the year (taking into account weekends and school holidays). This means even where breakfast is available within school, children are still having breakfast at home almost 50% of the time.
