Rooted in our Christian vision of Believe, Achieve, Respect, Together, Succeed, RE provides opportunities for all pupils to explore Christianity as a living faith while developing understanding and respect for a range of religions and worldviews.
Through Religious Education, every pupil is entitled to:
- Develop a secure knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other major world faiths and worldviews.
- Ask and explore challenging questions about meaning, purpose, beliefs, values and identity.
- Reflect on their own experiences, beliefs and ideas in a respectful and supportive environment.
- Learn from and about religion, recognising the diversity that exists within and between faith communities.
- Develop critical thinking, enquiry and discussion skills.
- Understand how faith and belief influence individuals, communities and society.
