Children in class 15 enjoyed building the sea creatures from single use plastic.

Class 12 started their sculpture make this week.

Class 12 chose their plastic to make their sculptures with.

Thank you everyone for bringing in a great variety of plastic and saving it from the ocean. 

In art we have continued to learn about collage. 

Class 6 had a skills lesson practising their collage skills, discovering if cutting, tearing, single or mixed media made the best fire collage. 

They are going to apply this to their final piece but I think they did a fantastic…

Class 12 have been bringing in plastic waste for a couple of weeks. 

Today, in Art, they have chosen plastic waste to re-use to create a sea creature! 

Class 12 have been researching various types of sea life and the impact that plastic pollution has on it, as part of a topic on the artist Angela Hastletine Pozzi.

Class 13 learnt about the work of sculpture artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi and her work with @WashedAshoreArt project. 

Over the coming weeks we will be creating a sea creature sculpture from single use plastic to highlight the impact single use plastic has on our oceans. 

In art year 2 have been learning about the collage artist Jesse Treece. 

They learnt about how his art was created with a background, focal point and foreground and then tried to create their own piece of art work inspired by this.
