St Bartholomew’s has a large well equipped cookery room. We regularly run courses for parents and members of the community. Sessions look at healthy eating using local produce and cooking on a budget. Participants make a healthy meal to take home and receive additional ingredients to recreate the recipe at home.
In partnership with the Healthy Living Network, the school runs 'Fit Together Healthy Eating Sessions'. Each week parents work with nutrionists, discussing healthy food choices, portion size and the importance of exercise. Parents are then joined by their children and together they cook a healthy snack or meal. For further details of sessions see Miss Lawson
St Bartholomew's offer our parents opportunities to learn something new. We run a range of different courses from Family Learning to ICT. The school is currently running Family Phonic Sessions and will be running ICT sessions in the new year. If there is a course that you would like us to run, please complete your questionaires or get in touch with Mrs Brown or Miss Lawson, alternatively you can comment on our WallWisher page and let us know what you would like to see being run.
