We had 5 eggs delivered a few weeks ago. We kept them in an incubator.
We did not have to wait long as on Wednesday five of the eggs cracked and we observed 5 beautiful ducklings hatching. Unfortunately, one duckling was poorly so it had to go back to mummy duck for cuddles.
On Thursday they were all transferred to a cage where they could run around.
Miss Dickinson took them home for the weekend and the following week we continued observing them; we even placed them in water and watched them splash, clean, and swim. The children adored chatting to them and watching them grow.
Last Thursday we said goodbye to them as they were taken back to the farm.
We are sure they will be happy in their new home!
