In art year 2 children learnt about weaving through the artwork of Lucy Poskitt, experimenting using barring techniques and learnt how to dye material to create a sea texture.

We built our own mini sculptures, saw some fantastic art work and worked in groups building our own giant sculptures that told a story.

Class 9 have enjoyed using Modrock to sculpt their own people in the style of Giacometti.

Class 11 loved their time at the sculpture park especially creating their own sculptures in the afternoon. 

Class 11 enjoyed making their sculptures and produced some fantastic work in the style of Giacometti.

In art this week, we have been created sculptures in the style of Giacometti.

In class 6 we have been learning about the artist Lucy Poskitt. 

She is a weaver. We have started to learn how to weave. 

We created our own looms and practiced using different materials going over and under.

Class 10 having fun in the glorious sunshine and creative splendour of Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

The children took a guided tour of the grounds, learned how to 'read' a sculpture, and even had a go at making their own.
