As part of Black History Month Class 8 discovered the inspiring story of Mary Seacole, a brave, caring nurse who helped soldiers during the Crimean War.
We learnt about her life, achievements and the important difference she made to others. Inspired by the pop art style of Andy Warhol, we created colourful portraits of Mary Seacole using bold colours and repeated images to celebrate her life and legacy.
