We discussed their activism, the approaches and extreme measures that they used, and if they were successful activists or not.

Year 3 (Class 8) - History - Anglo Saxon Workshop
Today we took part in an Anglo Saxon workshop. We enjoyed finding out about Anglo Saxon weapons and warfare. We were shocked how heavy the chainmail was!
We got to hold real Anglo Saxon artefacts and played an Anglo Saxon game.

Today class 7 took part in an Anglo Saxon workshop, we learnt about the clothes they wore and the different weapons that were used when fighting the Picts.

Year 1 (Class 4) - History - Explorer Visit
Class 4 were lucky enough to be visited by a real life explorer called Dan Tastic!
He taught us all about the history of explorers and told us about the places he had visited, including Antarctica.
He also brought some items from his adventures that he shared with us.

On Monday class 6 had a visit from Sir William Petty.
He told year 2 all about The Great Fire of London.
He showed us how a storm lantern worked and it didn’t matter how many children tried to blow it out they couldn’t. He taught us about where the fire started and how it spread.

Today in History we had chance to look at Roman artefacts that are around 2000.
The artefacts were from the Leeds museum and gallery services.
