This week in science as part of our circulatory system topic class 14 have dissected hearts.
The children have absolutely loved investigating the different chambers, valves and vessels in the hearts with real life specimens!

Today class 16 have learnt about perspective in landscapes and how to achieve them.
They enjoyed working together first then independently to create their own landscape ready for our war time landscape in the coming weeks.

Class 14 discussed and ranked their personal values.
Then using their linguistic skills they debated which were most important as a group.

This week class 14 have been debating whether the scientists Galen or Harvey’s theory about the circulatory system was correct.
They used sentence stems to help them structure their ideas.

This term, class 15 have been learning all about how the internet works and about how children can keep themselves safe, here are some examples of their finished work.

Year 6 - ICT Club - Micro bit Digital Pets
In ICT club this week we learnt how to make our own digital pet.
If the timer reached 20, our pet showed a sad face on the LED display and made a sad sound on the built-in speaker outputs.
If it reached 30, our pet fell asleep.

Year 6 - History - Windrush Legacy Workshops
We thoroughly enjoyed attending the Windrush Legacy Workshops developed by the Jamaica Society Leeds.
Ansell delivered a very interesting workshop involving stories regarding the Windrush Generation.
We also created our own dances with help from Ansell.

Year 6 - PSHE - My Health My School Survey
Years 5 and 6 are completing their My Health My School Surveys.
The survey provides children with an opportunity to answer questions about their health and well-being and what they think of school.
