Class 12 enjoyed a visit today from Mr B who told them all about his journey from Jamaica after the war on the Windrush. 

The children were enthralled and amazed by his stories and throughly enjoyed their hour with him. 

This week in history Class 12 have used their oracy skills to discuss, ‘What influence did Ancient Greece have on the wider world?’. 

They had to answer individually using build on talk-tactics, then as a group decide on a consensus using persuasive devices.

Class 11 enjoyed their trip to Leeds City museum.

They particularly enjoyed seeing the Mummy and looking at the Egyptian artefacts.

Today, we used our oracy skills to discuss who was the greatest pharaoh was. 

We discussed biases that people may have such as gender, length of rule and level of fame. 

We then worked in trios to debate and Comte to our own conclusions.

On Wednesday class 8 had a brilliant time stepping back in history for our exciting Roman Day.
