Leeds City Council - Road Sign Competition

Earlier in the year, someone from Leeds City Council came in to school (and all the other schools in Armley) to ask the children to enter into a competition to design a sign encouraging road users to slow down to the new speed limit being introduced on Armley Town a street. 

Some civil engineers from the council came back to school to show us what they do and announce that one of the winners was from our school. 

Congratulations to Ibrahim in Class 16 who, out is hundreds of entries, had his design selected. 

He gets a replica of his sign, that will be up on Armley Town Street once all the work had been complete. Keep your eye open and see if you can spot it.
