Nursery - Weekly Summary (14.09.2022)

We have had a wonderful week in Nursery!

The children have quickly settled in and are already following our routines and working within the boundaries that we have. We are all sharing, taking turns and developing our friendship groups.

The cooperative play has been very noticeable in the home corner, construction and small world areas.

We are using the book 'The Colour Monster' to help us understand our emotions. Your child may use the following colours to explain how they are feeling:

•    yellow means happy
•    green means calm
•    red means angry
•    black means scared
•    blue is sad
•    orange in confident

When we talk about green being calm we follow it up with the phrase "namaste" so if they do use the word this is where it is from.

We are aiming for a yellow and green Nursery at all times.
