Last Tuesday we received 5 eggs. We kept them in an incubator.
We did not have to wait long as on Wednesday five of the eggs cracked and we observed 5 beautiful ducklings hatching. The yellow one is an escapee so we needed to be careful when cleaning the cage. On Thursday they all have been transferred to a cage where they could run around.
Miss Dickinson took them home for the weekend and this week we have continued observing them; we even placed them in the water and watched them splash, clean, and swim. The children adored chatting to them and watching them grow.
Yesterday we said goodbye to them as they were taken to the farm.
We are sure they will be happy in their new home!
