Year 2 - World Book Day 2023

Year 2 had a fantastic World Book Day.

Lots of children dressed up as their favourite character, they drew their favourite book cover and had a visit from Book Man. Book Man is a super hero who’s power it is to remember every book there is. However, his evil nemesis No Imagination Man stole his memory and the children had to remind him of books.

They looked at props to remind them of books and created stills of parts of fairy tales like the 3 little pigs. The children really enjoyed themselves.

We focused on the book Room on the Broom and created an extra page, we used watercolours to illustrate the story and created a new scarier mud monster.

We can’t wait for next year.
