Children in class 5 really enjoyed their book day workshop.
They were detectives who used their code breaking reading skills to track down 2 double agents.
They were successful in their quest and worked well as a team!

Well done to all the children who decorated a potato as a character from a book.
It was clear to see that the children had worked very hard and used their fantastic imaginations to create their characters.

Class 9 had a fantastic book day! We had some amazing costumes, listened to some stories and took part in some exciting activities, including a fantastic workshop.

Year 2 (Class 6) - English - World Book Day 2025
For World Book Day class 6 looked amazing!
They dressed up themselves and potatoes as their favourite book characters. We had a workshop where we had to work out which of our spies were the culprits. To do this we had to work in groups and solve reading problems.

Class 15 are continuing to read Holes.
Children enjoyed discussing chapter 20 and giving their thoughts on the Warden and how she treats the children and Mr Sir.
Children also completed a visualisation activity - visualising what the inside of the warden’s cabin looked like.…

Year 6 (Class 15) - English - Writing
Class 15 have been working extremely hard writing a setting description based around Holes. Children used their plans, peer opinion and thesaurus’s when writing.
Mr Needham was very impressed with their dedication and drive.

Year 5 (Class 12) - English - Spellings
Class 12 were introduced the their spellings for the week.
Children looked at the rules for words ending in 'ity' and then practised spelling the words in their spelling books.

Class 3 loved listening to Mr Needham read to them.
He read George’s marvellous medicine and even showed us the slug sandwiches that grandma likes to eat!
