Year 1 (Class 4) - English - Handa’s Surprise
Class 4 have been reading Handa’s Surprise in our English lessons.
Today we practised taking it in turns to ask and answer questions about who took the fruit in our partners.
Year 4 (Class 11) - English - Fluency
Today in our fluency lesson we practiced reading and re-reading our text to develop our reading fluency.
We practiced moving around where we paused and what words we stressed to see how it affected our sentences.
Year 5 (Class 12) - English / Oracy - Balanced Arguments
This week in English Class 12 are studying Balanced arguments.
In groups they came up with for and against points.
They then added conjunctions to build on and challenge the points.
This was done orally and written.
Year 4 (Class 11) - English - Library Visit
Class 11 enjoyed their visit to Armley Library.
Year 4 (Class 10) - English - Rainforest Survival
We have been learning all about surviving in the rainforest in English.

Year 1 (Class 4) - English - Book Shop
Class 4 chose some books to take home as part of our free book shop.
We enjoyed spending some time in class reading our new books and sharing them with our friends.
Year 2 (Class 6) - World Book Day - Book Shop
Class 6 are excited about the books they chose and can’t wait to get them home to read them!

Year 5 (Class 12) - World Book Day - Book Shop
Class 12 visited the pop up book fair today and all got 2 books each and a bookmark!
