Year 5 (Class 12) - PSHE - LOPF (Leeds Older People's Forum)

Class 12 were asked to take part in the first workshop in Leeds to break the barriers between older people and younger people across Leeds. 

They were asked at what age to people get old, of which the range spanned from 20 to 99, how they feel about grind older, how life might change and what is good about young and old people. They were also asked to match statements to pictures of people from a variety of age groups and discussed how we could l the stereotypes advocated with the statements, e.g. old people don’t get jobs or don’t play video games. 

The workshop was very interactive and the children were really engaged, learning a lot.
