We are very proud to announce that our U11 Girls’ football team made history on Wednesday 18th June by becoming the first team from St Bart’s to win the St Bart’s U11 Girls’ Cup.

St Bart’s has been organising the cup competition for over 25 years. All schools in Leeds are invited to take part. 47 teams took part in the cup this year and the quality of football on display was very high!

We entered two teams and are very proud of them all.

Our winning team put on a thrilling display of skill, determination and teamwork. After winning all of the group games, the team raised their performance levels even further with some standout performances before winning the final against Gledhow. From stunning goals to rock-solid defence, every player gave it their all. Their belief in each other paid off – and they’ve brought the trophy home in style! Huge congratulations to the team!

A big thank-you to all the players in our other team entered in the tournament – teamwork and sportsmanship were on display throughout and the players should be commended for their amazing attitude.

Finally, a big thank-you to the year 6 children who helped at the event – they were amazing and played their part in a successful day for all schools that attended!
