Year 5

Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a visit from the Fire Service.  Members of the fire service talked  about their roles and what it is like to be a fire fighter.  

They then talked to the children about bonfires and fireworks.  Children listened well and discussed bonfire dangers and firework dangers.…

A fun filled event. The children were able to try lots of different activities and compete against each other.

The children put 100% into every activity and their behaviour was excellent. 

Well done to the Year 5 and 6 Boy's Football team who had their first competitive games this year.

They won 4 out of 5 of their games and scored some fantastic goals along the way.

Pupils in the computing club have been enjoying using the LEGO Spike Prime sets, where they have been allowed to choose any build from within the LEGO Spike app.

This approach has given them the freedom to select projects that interest them most, from simple mechanisms to more complex robotic…

Class 13 were practicing attack and defensive drills for football today during PE.

This week at Computing Club, pupils got hands-on with the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Sets to build their very own breakdancing robots! 

After assembling their creations using motors, sensors, and colourful LEGO components, they moved on to coding the robots with custom dance routines.

Class 12 have been practicing their French speaking skills. 

They have been learning about colours and items of clothing. 

They used their skills to say what each person on the screen was wearing.

Class 12 have been learning how to jive, today they choreographed and performed their own dance routine. Some were brave enough to perform to the class. Well done class 12.

Well done to the children who are completing additional homework tasks at home.

In Computing Club we all finished our builds of 'Kiki' the dog. 

We then had a discussion about how pets can react to their surroundings and then went on to build the code in the Lego Spike app. Once the code was downloaded to our robot we moved Kiki in front of each of the coloured bricks.…
