The key stage 2 children had a brilliant day today listening to a brass band.
Back Chat Brass came into teach the children all about brass instruments and play their favourite songs. It was brilliant to hear such talented musicians playing live in school.

Year 6 (Class 17) - Art - Andy Warhol Style Selfies
Class 17 have started their new art topic.
This half term we will be focusing on pop art and print. The artist we will be using for our inspiration is Andy Warhol with a Greek twist.
The children completed their Warhol style selfies this week.

What a fantastic afternoon we have had. Some of our KS1 pupils have represented the school in a Panathlon event.
They did fantastically well and came in 2nd place.

Year 2 (Class 6) - History - Grace O'Malley
In history, we have begun our new topic - we are going to be learning all about Grace O'Malley.
Today we have looked at pictures of lots of different pirates and discussed what we think makes them a pirate.

Year 2 have started a project on animation in computing, they made a film out of pencils using stop motion animation.

Class 16 enjoyed an introductory lesson to first aid. Children discussed their understanding of first aid and created their own definitions.
Class 16 then went onto identifying risks in different settings and how to reduce risk.
