Year 3

In our library session we shared our book choices and filled out book recommendations for others to read. 

Today we had our ukelele lesson.

We practiced keeping a beat and playing the G chord.

We practiced our spellings by trying to remember as many as we could in partners.

We also practiced summarising by remembering the main points of our story today and trying to retell it n less than 20 words. 

In history we are starting a topic about the Stone Age. 

We went to look at our school timeline to help us to understand when the time period took place. As the Stone Age is prehistoric we have to rely on archaeological findings to find out about how people lived.

Class 10 have had a great first lesson about the Stone Age. First of all, we went to the timeline on the stairs to find out how long ago the Stone Age was, which other periods of history overlap with it (Egyptians and Greeks), and where it fits into the topics we've already covered.

Class 8 enjoyed hearing Mr. Needham read one of his favourite stories - We were amazed at the disgusting spaghetti that looked like worms that the twits ate…we’ll all be looking out for any horrible food in teacher’s beards from now on! 

In geography we have been looking at how our local area has changed over time.

Last week we thought about the things we would like to have in our local area and worked together to plan our perfect street.

Class 9 are really improving their ukulele playing. 

On Tuesday class 9 visited West Yorkshire playhouse to watch Oliver Twist.

The show was amazing and we all had a fantastic time.

Class 9 have made some amazing light boxes in our DT lessons!
