Year 2 (Class 6) - Art - Castles
In class 6, we followed a drawing tutorial in our art lesson to create our own castle picture.
Year 2 (Class 7) - Art - Primary & Secondary Colours
Class 7 have been continuing our artwork inspired by Leonid Afremov.
Today we mixed primary colours to make secondary colours and added tints and shades to make them lighters and darker to create our colourful backgrounds.

Year 3 (Class 9) - Art - Leeds Town Hall
Year 3 have been drawing the outline of Leeds Town Hall.
We have been looking at how to add perspective so that it looks further away.

In class 6, we are studying the artist, Leonid Afremov.
We have spent this half term learning the colour mixing skills we will need to imitate his work and today we have completed the first stage of our artwork by creating a background.

Year 2 (Class 7) - Art - Exploring Colour
Class 7 have been working hard in art exploring colour.
They have been learning about making colours lighter by adding tints or white and colours darker by adding shades of black.
Keep an eye out for our final master pieces.
Year 5 (Class 13) - Art - Stencils
Class 13 have learnt a new skill in art. We have learnt how to make a basic stencil a skill that they will use in their Banksy art.
They had lots of fun creating their own stencils. A few children even mastered making a positive and negative image.

Year 5 (Class 14) - Art - Stencils
We have been experimenting with stencils. The children cut their own shapes and pictures, then used sponges to create both negative and positive stencils.
This is how Banksy creates his pictures on the walls around Britain.
