This week we looked at the world map and discuss the climates of different countries we discussed polar, temperate and tropical countries.

When we looked closely we realised the countries near the equator had a tropical climate and countries furthest away had a polar climate. 

Class 5 would like to say a great big thank you to all the parents that attended the performance on Monday.

We had so much fun performing to you all. 

Class 16 have been looking at cams, cogs and levers.

With this knowledge, we built small rotating toys that showed the principles of them.

When they were finished, year 2, class 5, came to play with them give a review.

Well done to class 17 who made tin foil boats, designed to be streamlined, so we could investigate the effects of water resistance.

Well done class 17 for a lovely debate about the building of the 3 Gorges Dam in China.

Class 16 have been reading the poem ‘the highwayman’.

Today we sounded out the syllables and then put them to a beat by either clapping or tapping the table.

There were lots of sore hands by the end of the lesson!

This week we have had our own Santa's workshop.

The children have enjoyed dressing up in the different costumes, wrapping presents as well as buying and selling festive treats in the Christmas cafe.

We have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes in Maths.

The children enjoyed making their own 3D shapes using playdough.
