Year 3 (Class 9) - Art - Collage
Year 3 have loved our art topic on collage.
Year 2 (Class 6) - Art - Seaside Scene
Class 6 are weaving in art, to create a seaside scene in the style of Lucy Poskitt.
Year 2 (Class 7) - Art - Dyeing Material
In art, class 7 have been dying material, the pupils then used this material and others in their weaving.
Pupils have worked hard to make sure they weave over and under, changing the pattern after each piece of material.
This is our work so far.
Year 2 (Class 6) - Art - Weaving
In art, class 6 have prepared and dyed some material, ready for weaving with!
Year 2 (Class 6) - Art - Lucy Poskitt
In art, class 6 are learning all about Lucy Poskitt this half term. We are going to be dying material and using it to weave a seaside scene.
Before this, we needed to practice our weaving skills! We made our own 'loom' and wove different materials.
Year 6 (Class 17) - Art - Print Work
Well done class 17 on some excellent Andy Warholl inspired print work for out ancient greek topic.
Year 2 (Class 5) - Art - Weaving
Last week in art we looked at the artist Lucy Poskitt, she is a weaver.
This week we had a go at creating our own repeating pattern by weaving three different materials. It was a Little fiddly to begin with but the children really enjoyed weaving.
Year 5 (Class 13) - Art - Mono Prints
Class 13 have enjoyed learning how to make a mono print today.
They traced and transferred their image onto styro foam and them printed in the style of Andy Warhol.
Well done class 13!
Year 2 (Class 7) - Art - Weaving Skills
Year 2 have been practicing their weaving skills in art. Learning to go over under, alternating the layers.
Some pupils have even managed a repeating pattern.
Year 6 (Class 15) - Art - Pop Art & Print
Class 15 have started their new art topic.
This half term we will be focusing on pop art and print. The artist we will be using for our inspiration is Andy Warhol with a Greek twist. The children completed their Warhol style selfies this week.
