Class 4 were very lucky to have Mr Needham read to them in the school library.

Mr Needham read part of Roald Dahl's story The Twits. He even brought some of Mr Twits wormy spaghetti with him.

Class 3 were really lucky today and were read a story by Mr Waters. 

They loved listen listening to ‘Who will kiss the crocodile’ and really enjoyed the props that went with the story. 

In our library session we shared our book choices and filled out book recommendations for others to read.

Class 1 have been working so hard on their phonics skills and writing simple words! 

Haider, Mayedah and Darasimi have achieved awards from Reading Plus- well done!

This half term is all about celebrations.

Last week we have learnt all about Diwali, Hindu festival of light and Remembrance Day. We had two minutes silence today and we are proud of all the children as they sat quietly for the whole two minutes.

Children in years 5 and 6 have been completing their assessments on Reading Plus to determine their starting points on the programme.

Children will then use Reading Plus in timetabled sessions and also at home.

Class 11 have completed their reading plus assessments this week ready to start their online lessons.

They will get time in the school day to complete these lesson to help them improve their reading fluency and comprehension of a text. 

Children in class 15 enjoyed the opportunity to read their library books at lunchtime on on the Big Book Bus.  

Each class in years 5 and 6 has a day timetabled to read on the Big Book Bus!
