Year 5 (Class 15) - English - The Big Book Bus
Children in class 15 enjoyed the opportunity to read their library books at lunchtime on on the Big Book Bus.
Each class in years 5 and 6 has a day timetabled to read on the Big Book Bus!
Year 1 (Class 3) - Reading - Funnybones
In class 3 we have been reading ‘Funnybones’.
Lilah has enjoyed the book so much that her mummy has bought her two more books in the series.
Lilah has been so kind and let the class listen to both stories!
Reception (Class 1) - Phonics & Letter Formation
The Reception children loved showing their phonics learning outside in the outdoor area and practicing their letter formation.
Reception (Class 1) - School Library Visit
Class 1 loved their first visit to the Library!
There were so many lovely books to look at, we could have stayed there all day!
The children are looking forward to take a book home soon in the near future.
Year 4 (Class 11) - English - Our School Library
Class 11 enjoyed their first trip to the library. They were able to choose either a book to suit their reading abilities which, some, will be able to take home and enjoy.
They also had the opportunity for some quiet reading time in the library.
Nursery - Different Families and Patterns
This week nursery children have been looking at different families and patterns in nursery.
We have read the book: 'My mum and dad make me laugh' by Nick Sharratt. We have been looking at patterns in the story (spots and stripes) and the children were able to look around and find those patterns…
Reception (Class 1) - Phonics
Week 3 in reception saw the start of phonics!
The children have worked so hard to learn our first new sounds, spotting them in their reading books and practicing writing them.
Some children even had a go at painting the sounds. Well done reception!
Year 2 (Class 7) - English - Author Visit
Year 2 had an author visit. They listened to a twisted fairy tale by Bethan Woollvin, learnt about the process of writing and illustrating a book and learnt how to draw the characters.
We will be continuing to do work on her version of Rapunzel in class.
Nursery - International Dot Day
