Today we revisited our diagrams from the start of our ‘Amazing bodies’ topic and updated them with all of the scientific things we have learned over the whole topic.

We had a visitor called Nigel who visited us from Animal Aid.

As part of science class 4 worked in groups to sort the different animals into animal groups and talk about the features of the animals.

Year 4 (Class 12) - Science - The Human Body
Today we planned and carried out our own investigations related to parts of our bodies.
We investigated questions like: Can people with bigger biceps throw further? Can people with big feet know kick a ball further?
We then made predictions and went outside to test them out.

Class 11 have thought about what investigation about the body they could do using a ball, cones and a tape measure.

Class 7 have been testing environments and what plants need to grow. We have completed different experiments thinking about what plants need to grow. To find this out we gave some plants water, some light and some were in the dark.

Year 1 (Class 3) - Science - Doctor Visit
Class 3 were lucky enough to be visited by a doctor as part of Science Week.
He told us all about his job and even brought a stethoscope along for us to have a go with!

Today we researched about the human skeleton by playing a game and using labelled diagram to find the bones we needed to build our own skeletons.

We had a guest speaker in our class today. Mr Ramzen is a software engineer and he explained his job and how good it was.

Year 4 (Class 12) - Science - Medical Mavericks Assemblies
So far this week we have enjoyed joining in with some Medical Mavericks assemblies and online lessons.
