Year 2 (Class 6) - History - Skipton Castle Trip
Class 6 had a fantastic day at Skipton Castle! It was great to have a guided tour around the castle; we really impressed our guide with our castle knowledge!
We also had time to sketch different parts of the castle.
We can't wait for our next school trip!

Year 2 (Class 5) - Maths - Numbers Bonds to 20
Children in class 5 investigated number bonds to 20 using the Rekenreks.
They also looked at creating different fact families using the 3 numbers.
They were able to make 2 addition and 2 subtraction calculations.

Year 2 (Class 6) - English - School Day Sentences
In English, class 6 have been learning about the features of recounts.
We worked with our partners to write super sentences about our school day.
We will be using our new knowledge to write a recount of our trip to Skipton Castle.

Class 7 have been thinking about Remembrance Day, we have discussed what it means to us, what it means to our families and other families.

In class 6, we have used the rekenreks in maths to help us with our learning about number bonds and fact families.

Year 2 (Class 7) - Computing - Programmers
Class 7 have started a new term of computing learning how to become programmers.
They created an algorithm (set of instructions), tested these for bugs (problems) and debugged their algorithm (fixed the problems) to get their robot from the carpet to the classroom door.

In class 6, we have began our new Geography topic - all about weather.
We looked at different types of weather and sorted pictures and definitions.
We are going to record the weather this half term using our new weather station!
