Class 6 have been learning to take photos. They were trying to take abstract photos of faces. 

They learnt how a camera works, learnt how to take focused, sharp photos which they then reviewed and chose their favourite before uploading it to their Google drive.

To begin our division unit, Class 10 worked together to practically solve 2-digit divided by 1-digit calculations.

We made apples bird feeders to support the wildlife in our garden during the winter months. 

We found sticks so the birds have a perch and then stuffed sunflowers seeds into the apples for them to feast on. 

We hung them high in the trees. 

Today we sourced pictures for our presentation backgrounds to use on the green screen. 

We organised our research into sections and then decided what pictures we would like. We searched for them online and then saved them into an album to use later.

Class 10 have started gymnastics in PE this week. 

We discussed the key points of balancing successfully, before working with a pair to create a sequence of individual and partner balances. 

Class 16 have begun their new art topic (sculpture) this week they have looked at the work of Angela Haseltine Pozzi (@WashedAshoreArt). 

Over the coming weeks we will be making our own sea creature sculpture from single use plastic.

Class 10 and Class 11 held a rap battle in Music to practice our new song - 'Stop'. It was too hard to choose a winner so we called it a draw!

We then joined together to sing the song again!

In French, Class 10 have begun learning animal names.

We created a tally chart of the pets we have, then drew and labelled the pet we have (or would like to have!).

In class 5 the children have started their new topic in computing - we are photographers. 

They have used a search engine to log onto Pixabay and searched for images of the human face from a range of digital images.

Class 3 have been learning all about poetry this week. 

We then learned a poem all about winter and performed it.

Class 5 really enjoyed their music lesson this week where they have been learning the song 'Rainbows'. 

The children looked at the different sections of the song such as verse and chorus and how the chorus usually repeats throughout the song.
