Year 6 - P.E - Sports Hall Athletics Semi Finals
Last Friday we competed in the semi final of the school sports hall athletics competition.
The children were fantastic and gave it their all.
There were some excellent individual performances and they were unlucky not to progress to the final.

Today we looked at the forces at play when building bridges and felt what compression and tension feel like.

Class 17 have had fun learning morse code with torches this week.
We sent messages to each other and answered questions in morse code.

Year 6 (Class 16) - Design Technology - Bridges
Class 16 have started their DT topic on bridges this week, we drew and categorised bridges, looked at 4 different bridge types then tested the different forces that bridges use (tension and compression).

Year 6 - Art - Ocean Pollution
Year 5 and 6 have completed their ocean pollution topic and made their sea creatures from single use plastics.
We took inspiration from the brilliant sculptor Angela Haseltine Pozzi and our Fabulous trip to The Deep in Hull. I think you can agree they look turtally awsome.

In science this week, class 16 have been looking at how quickly coffee and sugar dissolve at different temperatures in water.

Year 6 children in class 15 spent time developing their oracy skills - using build, challenge and clarify.
Children had to discuss different scenarios and how people would feel.
