Year 6 - P.E - Golf
Some year 5 and 6 pupils had a fantastic opportunity to try golf this week.
All the children enjoyed themselves and grew in confidence throughout the afternoon.

Year 6 (Class 17) - P.E - Mountain Biking
Class 17 enjoyed Mountain biking this week and didn't let the rain stop them.
It was great to see the increase in confidence from the children from last year.

Class 15 enjoyed making stencils and creating a picture.
They used stencil like Banksy does to create his artwork.

Class 16 have been looking at how characters feel in the text they are reading.
They have been plotting the characters emotions on a graph and then completing sentences justifying their reasons.

Mrs Dyer is very impressed with the attitude and dedication of some boys in class 15 who are working hard to improve their handwriting.

Class 15 were working hard on Emile when Mr Needham went into the classroom to wish them a good day.

Year 6 (Class 16) - Maths - Multiplication Knowledge
Class 16 recapped over their multiplication knowledge in Maths.
Children modelled and discussed how to complete column multiplication questions and then completed work in their exercise books - some children focusing on short multiplication and some working on long multiplication.

Class 16 enjoyed reading the opening chapters of ‘I survived the sinking of the Titanic, 1912.’
Children used their inference skills to explain why characters might have behaved as they did and children also highlighted unfamiliar words and used the text around the words to explain the meaning…

In science this week, year 6 have been looking at heliocentric and geocentric theories of the universe.
They became different scientists and told us through a story how views changed overtime.

Year 6 (Class 15) - Music - Glockenspiels
Class 15 have enjoyed singing the song Ghost Parade and playing along using the glockenspiels we will add more instruments over the coming weeks.
