Year 6 - Flamingo Land Tip - Thursday 20th June 2024
Year 6 had a great day visiting Flamingo Land. The weather was amazing and children had a full day at the theme park - 10:00 until 17:00.

Year 2 (Class 6) - Science - Keeping Healthy
In class 6, we have been learning about how to keep healthy in science.
This week we explored the importance of exercise and the affect it has on our body.
We completed an exercise video, before creating our own exercise routines for the class to join in with.

Year 3 (Class 9) - Computing - Micro Bits
This week in computing we use the made code website to create messages on micro bits.
Ibrahim even managed to turn his micro-bit into a calculator.

Year 1 - R.E - Sikh Temple Visit
Year 1 really enjoyed their visit to the Sikh Temple, they were able to see where they pray and even were treated to some food and some drink.
We learned a lot about the religion and had a lovely time.

ICT club returned this week and we made use of the Micro:bits kindly donated by Farnell UK.
We used the makecode editor to create a beating heart and a thermometer.
Everyone quickly picked up the basics so we will be creating something more taxing next week!

Year 3 enjoyed our visit to the Sikh Gurdwara. We learnt how Sikh people pray and the customs surrounding their worship.

To celebrate Multi-Cultural Week, year 5 and 6 students visited the local mosque.
The children learned more about Islam and how Eid is celebrated. The Imam explained his role within the mosque, and the children were given the opportunity to ask questions.
