In Science this week, Class 16 investigated gravitational pull, and how mass and weight affect each other. 

We measured difference items in kg and newtons and studied the difference between gravitation pull and mass.

Class 9 enjoyed dressing up for Children in Need. We talked about why we donate money to Children in Need and who the money goes to. 

We are also very thankful to Mrs Rawlins’ friend Claire, who very kindly donated some scrunchies and bows for us to wear. 

Class 6 learnt about what bullying was in anti-bullying week and how they could use their powers of good to overcome bullying. 

They wrote affirmations about themselves, said what made a good friend and how they could use this for the power of good.

Class 15 completed work on remembrance - children learnt about the meaning of remembrance and events we hold to remember those that have lost their lives in wars and conflicts.  

Children completed their own take on silhouette poppies.  

Children in Class 12 impressed Mr Needham with their work on equivalent fractions.

Before half term, Pupil Parliament suggested we could use the food donated kindly by parents and careers across school, by sending it to a local food bank to help people in the area around school. They made the decision to send the food to Yum on Armley Town street.

Class 6 have just visited Skipton Castle as part of their history and literacy topics.
