Year 5 - P.E - Girls Football After School Club
Girls in years 5 and 6 have been developing their football skills every Wednesday after school with Mr Needham.
Children have been working on their passing and moving in pairs and passing into space for teammates to run on to the ball.

Year 1 (Class 3) - Science - Five Senses
Class 3 had alovely science lesson this week.
They learned about the sense of sight and went around the playing, using their sight, to colour match.

Year 1 have been learning about the five senses in Science.
We learnt about our sense of sight and then went on a colour hunt around the playground, finding colours that matched our colour swatches.

Year 2 (Class 6) - Maths / Oracy - 2D Shapes
Class 6 have been working hard making and labelling the features of 2D shapes.
Using straws for the sides and playdough for the vertices pupils were proud of their complicated shapes.

Today we recapped all of the skills and rules we have learnt so far and we played a tournament.

Year 3 (Class 8) - Maths - 10s to 100
Today we added 10s across 100. We had to make our number and add in the extra 10s.
If there were more than 10 tens we had to exchange them for an extra hundred.
We had to explain each step we had taken to the class.

Year 2 (Class 6) - Computing - Learning to Type & Saving / Opening Documents
Class 6 have been working hard on their computing skills.
They have been trying to type with 2 hands, save and retrieve their work and format their writing.
Some children have become very independent in their information technology.

This week, we made our own models of the digestive system. We used a banana and cracker for the food, a tray for the body, a plastic bag for the stomach, orange juice for the stomach acid, water for saliva, tights for the small intestine and a cup for the large intestine.

Today we did practical maths. We were looking at adding ones crossing the tens boundary.
We made our original number and then counted out the ones to be added. If there were more than 10 ones, we exchanged them for another 10.
