Year 4

Class 10 have been working in the style of L S Lowry, they have used a picture of Victorian Armley as inspiration.

First they sketched the street , then added a smoky sky and painted the buildings. Finally they added their matchstick figures.

A fun filled event. The children were able to try lots of different activities and compete against each other.

The children put 100% into every activity and their behaviour was excellent.

Today we found different areas using multi link.

In RE, class 10 have been comparing Sikh and Christian artefacts.

Gursneha is Sikh, and she explained the 5 Ks so confidently and clearly - it was great to learn from her.

In Computing, class 10 have been making tables.

We inserted a table, then collected information about our friends, before editing the text.

Today we played games to develop our typing skills on qwerty keyboards.

Today we used our oracy skills to discuss how we could investigate a question. 

We then conducted a class investigation to test how strength of vibrations could effect volume. 

Class 12 have been learning about how to make the right choices.

They were given a scenario which they had to work out in a pair what was right and what was wrong along with how things could have been handled differently.

Today we learnt about the human ear. We learnt about how sound travels through the ear, into the ear and down the ear canal.

We looked at the internal structure of a human ear and labelled the different parts. We also did an investigation into animal ears and why they are shaped and move…

Today we carried out the investigations we planned last week to find out whether high pitched sound travel further than low pitched sounds.

Class 10 have been learning how to play dodgeball in PE. 

Today we had a game which lasted the whole lesson! They were really good at getting their team back in. 

The game ended in draw which was very fair well done class 10.

Class 10 have been writing an alternative ending to Oliver Twist this week. 

They have all tried really hard and produced some lovely stories.
