In ICT club this week we learnt how to make our own digital pet.

If the timer reached 20, our pet showed a sad face on the LED display and made a sad sound on the built-in speaker outputs.

If it reached 30, our pet fell asleep.

For the last couple of weeks, class 13 have been discussing online safety and the risks of being online. 

The children have then completed online safety booklets to remind them how to be safe in various circumstances.

We set off for Lineham Farm at 10:20!

Years 5 and 6 are completing their My Health My School Surveys.

The survey provides children with an opportunity to answer questions about their health and well-being and what they think of school.

Class 15 have taken part in their 2nd Greek food lesson. 

Today we made Tzatiki and tasted olive oil with lemon and oregano along with some hummus. 

The children worked well as a team following the instructions and dividing up the work.

Today for safety week, class 13 have been looking at road safety and exploring the safest route to school.

Class 13 have been looking at rail safety, they looked at different scenarios regarding rail safety and gave their opinion on what to do to stay safe as possible.

This week we worked together to create a game called 'Snap the dot'.

'Snap the dot' is a game of skill where the player has to press 'A' exactly when the dot reaches the center of the screen.

The code included 'forever' and 'if' loops. We talked through why these are used in coding.

Year 5 had a great time on their residential at Lineham Farm. 

First, we tucked into some delicious homemade jacket potatoes before our first activities!
