Year 5

Climbing at Lineham Farm.

This week in science the children used a traverse to share and summarise facts about changes that happen in old age.

Lunch is served!

All settled in to Lineham Farm, beds made and some fun time before lunch.

Congratulations to everyone who took part. They came in first place beating 8 of the local schools.

There were some fantastic displays on the track in the warm heat.

Well done!

The children have been learning about the play write and poet William Shakespeare.

They have been looking at his sonnets and have performed a version of a sonnet in his style. 

Year 5 had a visit from author Savior Pirot who was very entertaining with his stories and showed the children the five steps to successful story writing. 

Class 13 have been drawing a copy of Greek Gods and Goddesses. 

They have produced some really lovely pieces that they should all be really proud of. 

Class 14 made a domino run during wet play this week, it was reasonably successful!

This week in history Class 12 have used their oracy skills to discuss, ‘What influence did Ancient Greece have on the wider world?’. 

They had to answer individually using build on talk-tactics, then as a group decide on a consensus using persuasive devices.

This week in English Class 12 have been writing their own play scripts from the title Rain Ruins the Day!

The computing club tested out LeoCAD, a free open‑source digital LEGO CAD program, exploring how it lets users build detailed virtual LEGO models using thousands of bricks that closely mimic real-life construction.
