Year 5 - Lineham Farm Residential
Year 5 had a great time on their residential at Lineham Farm.

Year 5 - Lineham Farm Excitement!
Children were vert excited about their residential to Lineham Farm.
The minibuses left at 10:15 to get to Lineham before 11.
Children will spend up until lunchtime unpacking, making their beds and getting to know where things are.

Year 5 - ICT Club - Advanced Micro Bits
This week we tried some more advanced Micro bit coding. The children had 2 projects to work on. One involved programming the micro bit to give you a random direction to walk in. The other was creating a candle that you could blow out using the in built microphone.

Year 5 - ICT Club - Microbits
ICT club returned this week and we made use of the Micro:bits kindly donated by Farnell UK.
We used the makecode editor to create a beating heart and a thermometer.
Everyone quickly picked up the basics so we will be creating something more taxing next week!

Year 5 - R.E - Gurdwara Visit
To celebrate Multi-Cultural Week, year 5 and 6 students visited the local mosque.
The children learned more about Islam and how Eid is celebrated. The Imam explained his role within the mosque, and the children were given the opportunity to ask questions.

Year 5 (Class 15) - R.E - Worship
We looked at completing tasks set by Mrs Wainwright and Worship Council on thankfulness and integrity.
It was nice to have time to reflect on what we are thankful for and also why having integrity is so important.

In PSHE, we looked at reasons why it’s important to keep ourselves clean and we looked at different ways we can do this, such as brushing our teeth and washing our faces using face wash.
