Class 4 listened to a story about how to stay safe online and talked about the things we can do to keep ourselves safe.
We then made our own internet safety posters.

Class 3 loved listening to Mr Needham read to them.
He read George’s marvellous medicine and even showed us the slug sandwiches that grandma likes to eat!

Class 4 were lucky enough to be visited by a real life explorer called Dan Tastic!
He taught us all about the history of explorers and told us about the places he had visited, including Antarctica.
He also brought some items from his adventures that he shared with us.

Class 4 have been practising adding by counting on using first, then and now stories.
We worked in partners to practise this using counters and then wrote number sentences to show what we had done.

Class 4 enjoyed going outside to look for signs of the seasonal changes that take place in winter.

Year 1 (Class 4) - Design Technology - Making Puppets
In DT this half term, class 4 are going to make puppets.
We first learnt how to do the running stitch and overstitch and practised these.
We will use these stitches to fasten our puppets together when we make them.

As part of our Celebration Day, Mrs Sagoo and Miss Riyat dressed up in their cultural outfits and told us all about the things they do to celebrate Diwali.
They talked about The Golden Temple in India and brought in some beautiful diya lamps to show us.

Class 4 have been learning all about different celebrations this term in RE.
We have helped to organise our Christmas class celebration by making decorations and writing lists of food we would like to eat and games we would like to play at our party.

It was wonderful to have a visit from Sheila Banks (our Chair of Governors) today.
She enjoyed watching a phonics lesson in KS1 and working with children in class 5 as part of an Oracy lesson in Geography.
