Year 1 (Class 4) - Science - Animal Groups
As part of science class 4 worked in groups to sort the different animals into animal groups and talk about the features of the animals.

Class 3 enjoyed decorating African masks as part of our African workshop.
We learnt about different tribes in Africa and had a go at doing some African dancing.

Class 4 enjoyed taking part in the African mask painting and dance workshop.
We learned lots of interesting facts about Africa and learned a new African inspired dance.

KS1 drawing club have been busy this term, exploring stories, thinking about characters, settings and events.
They look forward to drawing club every morning and can’t wait to see what they will be drawing and writing their magic code for each picture.

Year 1 - Easter Themed Fine Motor Control
Tearing paper to create a rabbit collage then adding grass and an Easter message for a friend or loved one.
All the children enjoyed using foam eggs and wooden sticks to construct 2D and 3D shapes.
It was a bit tricky but everyone persevered!

Class 4 enjoyed their farm workshop.
They met lots of different animals and even learned how to milk a (pretend) cow.

Class 4 were very lucky to have one of our children's parents come into class to talk about Ramadan.
The children learned lots of information about this important celebration and then completed some activities.

Class 3 loved their farm visit week and met lot of animals, including sheep, goats and alpacas.
The children learnt lots about the different animals and enjoyed playing with the farmer's sheepdog, Meg.

Year 1 learnt about respect and asking for permission during How to Keep Safe Week.
They also discussed NSPCC's PANTS rules and loved singing the Pantosaurus song!

Hammering, threading and making shapes to name but a few.

Year 1 - Class 3 - Glockenspiel Performance
Class 3 have enjoyed listening to a song called Cuckoo and learning to sing it.
They then practised playing their glockenspiels along to the music and performed it.
Well done class 3!

Year 1 (Class 3) - Science - Doctor Visit
Class 3 were lucky enough to be visited by a doctor as part of Science Week.
He told us all about his job and even brought a stethoscope along for us to have a go with!
We also had a VR workshop which we all enjoyed taking part in.
