We then programmed the Bee-Bots to move around the class room.

Year 1 - Christmas Party
The children in year 1 enjoyed their Christmas party.
We have discovered that we have some very talented dancers in our year group.
The children enjoyed playing some party games and winning prizes.

Year 1 (Class 4) - Christmas Party
Class 4 enjoyed their party in the hall and then returned to class, where we were very lucky to have a visit from Santa. Santa was very kind and gave each of the children a selection box for working so hard this year. We then had a game of pass the parcel and enjoyed some yummy treats.

The children used the skills they learned in their design and technology lessons to make their own moving picture in order to retell part of a story.

Year 1 (Class 4) - Christmas Treasure Hunt
Class 4 enjoyed taking part in a treasure hunt organised by Wortley Community Centre.
The children followed a map to find the Christmas clues.
We then enjoyed a yummy hot chocolate and a delicious bun.

This week we have had our own Santa's workshop.
The children have enjoyed dressing up in the different costumes, wrapping presents as well as buying and selling festive treats in the Christmas cafe.

Year 1 had learned about Diwali from Miss Riyat, who was kind enough to bring some Diwali objects into school and explain to the children what they were used for.
