Mr Needham was very impressed by the spelling skills on show by children in class 16.
Children used skills such as rainbow letters, pyramid words and block words.

Class 16 continued to read Skellig by David Almond.
Children focused on an extract from chapter 18 to develop their skills in using background knowledge to help their understanding of the text.

Class 17 enjoyed their practical science lesson this week.
Once they tested different circuits to see if they worked, they explored the classroom finding metal objects that could conduct the electricity in the circuit.

Class 15 continued working on planning their own magazines.
Children discussed ideas and how the magazine should be structured.

This week, year 6 have started their new topic electricity.

Class 17 have been looking at the work of MC Escher, in particular his tessellations (repeated pattern) pieces.

Class 15 have begun their new computing topic: ‘We are publishers.’
Children discussed different types of magazines and looked at magazines available in class.
Children then worked in pairs discussing ideas for their own magazine creation.

Class 15’s School Council representatives presented to the rest of the class discussing the opening of the school’s reading bus.
The two representatives worked through the presentation slides and then answered questions.
