This week was our first lesson on National Parks. We discussed what they are, and why they might be called breathing spaces. 

The children then used clues and maps to find out where the national parks are in the UK.

This week in history Class 12 have used their oracy skills to discuss, ‘What influence did Ancient Greece have on the wider world?’. 

They had to answer individually using build on talk-tactics, then as a group decide on a consensus using persuasive devices.

In Computing, Class 10 have used their word processing skills from the first half term to write up their newspaper report about the alien abduction at St Bart’s!

As part of our Geography lesson, the children looked at photos of coastal, rural and urban settings. 

They sorted and labelled the photos into 3 groups.

This week in science class 8 have started a new topic all about our bodies. 

To start with we talked about what we already know and labelled an outline of a human body with where we think internal organs are. 

We then wrote down questions we would like to find out the answer to.

Class 5 enjoyed going to gym magic to learn some new skills.

We have been making our own stop motion video in computing.

The children worked in pairs to create their final piece, an under the sea race and added audio to it.

Class 5 were very excited to have a visit from some firefighters.

We thought of lots of different questions for the firefighters and learned lots about their job. We were then shown the fire engine and all of their equipment.
