Year 1 (Class 3) - Science - The Body and Senses
Class 3 have been learning about the body and its senses. Today we explored the sense ‘taste’.
The children loved trying some of the different foods and drinks, others they were not too sure about.

This week in art we looked at the primary colours. We then mixed the primary colours to see what other colours it would make.
It was amazing to see that we could make orange, green and purple.

Class 16 have been learning how to draw different types of graffiti lettering for their Banksy art work.
They enjoyed learning how to do the drip effect the best.

In our history lesson this week we have been finding out about Victorian housing and the differences between rich and poor houses.
The children were very surprised by the conditions of the poor houses and especially the fact that they didn’t have toilets.

We were focusing on our balance this week.
We used beanbags to balance on our heads while we stood on one leg, walk around the hall and go through hoops and over hurdles.
