Year 5 - ICT Club - Microbits
ICT club returned this week and we made use of the Micro:bits kindly donated by Farnell UK.
We used the makecode editor to create a beating heart and a thermometer.
Everyone quickly picked up the basics so we will be creating something more taxing next week!

Year 5 - R.E - Gurdwara Visit
To celebrate Multi-Cultural Week, year 5 and 6 students visited the local mosque.
The children learned more about Islam and how Eid is celebrated. The Imam explained his role within the mosque, and the children were given the opportunity to ask questions.

We looked at completing tasks set by Mrs Wainwright and Worship Council on thankfulness and integrity.
It was nice to have time to reflect on what we are thankful for and also why having integrity is so important.

In PSHE, we looked at reasons why it’s important to keep ourselves clean and we looked at different ways we can do this, such as brushing our teeth and washing our faces using face wash.

Year 5 - As part of World Environment Day, class 13 designed an Earth that showed the negative impact we were having on our planet. We also showed how the planet could look if we cared for it.

Class 13 received a visit from pupil parliament who delivered a presentation on the importance of World Environment Day and highlighted the importance of saving our planet.
