Class 9 have been discussing the danger of drinking alcohol. 

We have worked in pairs to discuss scenarios where people may drink alcohol and discussed the risks.

Class 4 enjoyed learning all about Remembrance Day and making their own poppy wreaths.

Class 4 have been learning about senses this term. We practised using our noses to smell different things and talk about if we liked each smell.

Class 3 and 4 had an amazing time for their Celebration Day! We dressed in clothes that are special to us and talked about the different events that we celebrate.

We then learnt all about Diwali and made our own diya lamps. We also had lots of fun learning some Indian dances!

Class 4 have enjoyed practising subtraction within 10 using a number line.

Today, as part of our electricity topic we investigated conductors and insulators. 

We tested objects in a circuit to see if they conducted electricity. If the bulb lit up the material was a conductor.

Our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils had an unforgettable experience visiting the historic Kirkstall Abbey as part of their creative writing project.

In Science this week, Class 16 investigated gravitational pull, and how mass and weight affect each other. 

We measured difference items in kg and newtons and studied the difference between gravitation pull and mass.

Class 9 enjoyed dressing up for Children in Need. We talked about why we donate money to Children in Need and who the money goes to. 

We are also very thankful to Mrs Rawlins’ friend Claire, who very kindly donated some scrunchies and bows for us to wear. 

Class 6 learnt about what bullying was in anti-bullying week and how they could use their powers of good to overcome bullying. 

They wrote affirmations about themselves, said what made a good friend and how they could use this for the power of good.

Class 15 completed work on remembrance - children learnt about the meaning of remembrance and events we hold to remember those that have lost their lives in wars and conflicts.
