Today we looked at jobs and salaries.

We discussed different pay structures and hourly rates vs salaries. We looked at some different roles and their salaries.

We were so surprised to see how much or little some job roles were paid.

Today in English we peer assessed our work from yesterday.

We used a checklist to text mark and identify what our partners had done well in their instructions.

We used this to give them positive feedback and identify areas for improvement next time they write instructions.

This week we learnt how to ask what colour something is in French and how to answer.

Today class 7 continued our topic of forces in science. 

We conducted experiments on magnetism. 

In RE, Class 10 are continuing with our new unit of work, all about spirituality. 

Today we explored how some Christians can show spirituality through art. We discussed a variety of pieces of artwork, before creating our own.

This week as part of our art topic on the artist Andy Warhol class 16 learnt the skill of tracing that we will use in the coming weeks to be able to transfer and image onto a tile to print.

Year 4 have really enjoyed their bikeability sessions. 

Some children were not able to ride at the start of the week and now can, and other children improved their technique. 

Class 9 have been looking at the effects of different substances on teeth. 

We left chalk in substances such as Coke and orange juice for a week before inspecting them under the magnifying glass. We then discussed our findings. 

Class 4 have been working hard to practise their glockenspiel skills.

Class 4 have been reading Handa’s Surprise in our English lessons. 

Today we practised taking it in turns to ask and answer questions about who took the fruit in our partners.

Today in our fluency lesson we practiced reading and re-reading our text to develop our reading fluency. 

We practiced moving around where we paused and what words we stressed to see how it affected our sentences. 

In PSHE, we have talked about how to respond in emergency. 

We covered how to make an emergency call and what to say to the operator. 

We then discussed scenarios which do or do not require an emergency service.
